“For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” – Romans 5 v 19
In the above verse, we read of the horrendous aftereffects of one man’s disobedience. When Adam intentionally rebelled against God, his sin stained not only himself but the entire human race. The statement, “through one man’s disobedience” is humbling and thought-provoking. A poor decision made by a single individual can cause disaster to flow from generation to generation. The price of disobedience can be a hefty one, not only for the one disobeying, but for others around them, even those not yet born. Dear friend, what is the Lord instructing you to do? Are you being willfully disobedient? Do not be deceived. The effects of such a rebellion are very rarely limited to a single life. You and I have no idea the chain reaction that follows us saying no to God. Rather, say yes to Him today. Just as through one person’s disobedience disaster can come to many, so through one person’s obedience, freedom and deliverance can come to a family, community, nation or even the world.
