Fire Conference Report: Mariannhill
The In His Name Team hosted a Fire Conference from 20-21 July 2012 in Mariannhill, Kwazulu-Natal, to prepare the hearts of the local pastors and church leaders for our upcoming Gospel Crusade, happening from 15-19 August 2012.
Mariannhill is a well-known metropolitan suburb near Pinetown, which is situated 16km west of Durban, Kwazulu-Natal. Known as the Kingdom of the Zulu, KwaZulu-Natal is a mixture of African, European and Indian cultures. Traditionally popular with holiday-makers, KwaZulu-Natal is South Africa’s busiest local holiday destination. Enjoy Tamryn’s daily reports straight from the crusade grounds below!

Our Fire Conference kicked off in a glorious fashion. I preached on the day of Pentecost, the message being received with tremendous enthusiasm. The people are hungry here, very hungry, to be used by God – and use them He shall! All are excited for the upcoming crusade in August, there is a definite air of expectation.

Morning Service Samuel and I preached up a firestorm! Great things are anticipated for tonight, when we pray for the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The morning services progressed from preaching and teaching to praying for the sick. “I felt heat moving through my body,” testified one lady. “The pain in my back and stomach is completely gone!” “I feel so happy,” testified another whom Jesus had healed. Still trembling, she burst into tears. “I want to cry and cry, I am so happy!” How wonderful, with what eagerness the Lord confirms His glorious word!
Evening Service Our Fire Conference here in MARIANNHILL has come to a close. I preached the final message with simple clarity, highlighting some key points regarding the function and person of the Holy Spirit. Thereafter, we prayed for the fire to fall. Wow! Heaven met earth – and it was a glorious meeting! “I felt the Holy Spirit fill me,” testified one lady. “I am returning home completely changed!” “I used to be so fearful to tell people about Jesus,” explained another. “Now, I feel filled with hope and boldness!” Praise the Lord – what a wonderful weekend!
