THE RELATIONSHIP
If you prayed the prayer on the other side of this flyer, you have become a child of God! When you die, you will go straight to heaven. God has made his home inside of you and you get to enter into a wonderful relationship with Him. But, how do you grow in this relationship?
SPEAK WITH GOD
Prayer is speaking with God. Speak to Him as you would a loving parent, spouse or best friend. No matter how short or long the prayer, He longs to hear your voice. And then – listen! His voice is not audible, but can be sensed deep within, where no one else can speak. When you sin, ask for forgiveness. The blood of Jesus is always active within children of God. His blood keeps us clean.
READ THE BIBLE
The Bible tells us who God is and what He says about us. The Bible is divided into two parts, the Old and New Testaments. For the story of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus, you will need to look at the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. They are the first four books of the New Testament and this would be a good place to start reading!
GO TO CHURCH
Listening to good, Bible teachings and spending time with other Christians, helps us grow even more in our relationship with God. When you go to church for the first time, tell the pastor that you have recently become a child of God. He will help grow you in your journey as a new believer in the Lord.
